Spam and nuisance calls can be an unwelcome interruption in your workday. Fortunately, there is a way on our company’s Comcast phone system to block particular phone numbers. Follow the steps below to enable this feature.
- First, log in to your Comcast Business VoiceEdge portal by going to https://business.comcast.com and clicking “Sign In” in the upper right-hand corner. Use your company email address and your Comcast password. If you don’t remember your password, click on the “forgot password” link and follow the steps to reset your password.
- Once logged in, click on the “Services” link at the top-middle of the page, and choose “Business VoiceEdge User” from the drop-down menu. This will take you to your Business VoiceEdge Dashboard.
- Click on the Feature Settings link on the left-hand navigation pane, then click on Privacy in the expanded menu
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page under Privacy. You will see the Selective Call Rejection option. Click the blue Add New Rule button.
- Choose a name for your rule (e.g. blocked calls) and enter this in the Rule name box. Next, select the radio button next to “Selected phone numbers” and then enter at least 1 10-digit phone number in the boxes below. You can put in multiple numbers, but please put only one number in each box. Click the blue Add rule button at the bottom to save your changes.
