Click the Phish Alert Button (PAB) from KnowBe4 anytime you believe you have received a phishing email or any potentially dangerous email. Any emails you report using the PAB will be automatically deleted from your inbox. The emails you report will also be forwarded to ARM IT support for analysis.
The PAB icon appears in the top-right corner of your Outlook toolbar. You can report the message with or without opening it:
- Select the message from your mailbox and click the Phish Alert (KnowBe4) icon. Or If the message is open, click the Phish Alert icon.
- A prompt will ask if you are sure you want to report the email as a phishing message.
- If you choose to submit the message, it will removed from your Inbox folder, and you'll receive confirmation that the message has been submitted for review.
- If the email is part of one of our weekly phishing security tests, you will receive a pop-up message indicating that the email was a test and that you successfully recognized and reported it as a phish.
- If the email that you report turns out to be legitimate, you will receive a reply from ARM IT Support with a copy of the reported message letting you know that it is OK to click on the link or open the attachment.
