Of course, one of the first things folks want to know when adjusting to a new phone system is how to check their voicemail box. Thankfully, with our Comcast Business VoiceEdge system, there are multiple ways to do so. First of all, though, if you haven’t set up your voicemail box on your new phone, please be sure to do so by pressing the voicemail button (envelope) on your phone, entering your Voicemail PIN and going through the guided tutorial.

Once your voicemail box is set up, you can check your voicemail in the following ways:

  1. If you are at your desk, you will see that you have a voicemail when the red indicator lamp is blinking. To listen to the message, press the voicemail button, enter your passcode followed by #, then press 1 to enter your voicemail box.

  2. You can also listen to new voicemail by clicking on the .wav file attached to the email which is sent each time you receive a voicemail.

  3. You can read the text transcription of your voicemail attached to the same email.

  4. You can listen to your voicemail by clicking on the Voicemail button in your Comcast BVE companion app on your computer.

  5. You can listen to your voicemail by clicking on the Voicemail button in your Comcast BVE mobile app.

  6. You can listen to your voicemail by logging into your Comcast Business online portal, clicking on Business VoiceEdge User under the Services drop-down menu, then clicking on Voicemail in the left-hand pane
  7. You can call your 10-digit DID number from any phone. When your voicemail greeting begins to play, press *, then your voicemail passcode and # to enter your voicemail box.

When listening to a Voicemail message, you can control playback with the following keys:

  • Press 1 to rewind the message 3 seconds
  • Press 2 to pause & play the message
  • Press 3 to fast forward the message 3 seconds
  • Press 4 to go to the beginning of the message
  • Press 6 to go to the end of the message
  • Press 7 to delete the message
